Just finished up a couple of great sessions with some super superferry people! We were looking at their role in our state today and also their part in the historic Hawaiian seafaring heritage. They say that public speaking is one of the biggest fears people have. Well, try being late to a public speaking engagement in front of trained public speakers! Yikes!

This past Saturday I had an opportunity to present to Hawaii's Toastmasters. Toastmasters are a group of people committed to improving their public speaking, communication and leadership skills. Talk about pressure! Wow...I knew all of the participants would be counting all my ums and ahs... But an even bigger WOW...so much aloha over there! Lots of warmth and support. Maybe it's because everyone there could empathize :)

I got a chance to talk about leadership and some ideas that have been floating around in my brain for the past several years. This presentation has motivated me to grab some of those floaters and bring 'em down to earth in a book form (keep an eye here for updates).
